Brian Burscough goes back quite a way - he was Warden in the period 1979-1981. In 2009 he, along with his wife Jennifer returned at short notice, to Gillerthwaite to act as Warden again and stayed for 3 years.

However, in 2012 they decided it was time to move on and in January 2012 the Association welcomed the new Wardens, Ellen Cloete and her husband Walter. Ellen is the daughter of Brian and Jennifer and lived at Gillerthwaite for the period when her father was Warden first time around. 

Ellen and Walter live at Low Gillerthwaite with their five active children - Emilia, Joseph, Charlie, Samuel and Macie - and it is great to have a young family living here once again. Oh, and let's not forget the pets and livestock!
